Description: This summer, come explore the printing and under painting properties of paperclay on pre-made slabs which can be constructed into sculpture from their dry state! Mirroring the artist’s current work, Deb will demonstrate the combined processes of under painting, lithography and paper clay slab construction. Paper clay is no more than paper pulp and clay slip combined. Dry slabs will be supplied for you. Participating artists may construct a form from slabs containing printed images, or treat each slab as a canvas onto which colors may be applied and images printed. Those wishing to concentrate only on printmaking may do so on the clay of their choice, Pieces will be glazed and fired at SCAA during the course of the summer.
