Description: Learn the skills needed to produce a wide variety of forms using several techniques in hand building, including slab assemblage, coils, and extruder applications.  Projects will be guided by the instructor, and students will become familiar with the various ways to produce both large and small items.  Surface decoration, glazing techniques, and creative finishing options will be explored.

Students can choose to make a  large vase, small vase, mirror frame, wall art and more. Projects will be varied and will accommodate all levels of experience. 

Karen, a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, has been teaching ceramics classes for many years.  She is an enthusiastic and nurturing instructor dedicated to helping others find their most creative side. 

Teen students may use  the studio only during classroom hours, but projects may be taken home if students wish to  work on them in between weeks of classroom time.
