Instructor: LINNEA Toney LEEMING

Linnea Toney Leeming - OcearnDescription: Plein Air painting, meaning open air, or painting directly from nature, is for the beginner or intermediate painter or artists who would just like to paint with like minds.  Learn or brush up on the basics of on-site painting in oil or acrylics using spontaneous brush strokes to capture the essence of the beautiful coastal RI landscape and light. Painting from life challenges artists to concentrate every sensory nerve on the information in front of them.  Absorbing it all, sight, sound, temperature and atmosphere, by channeling those feelings from head to hand you will see your vision re-created in the paint. Class will meet at a different beautiful spot each week.

Locations and meeting information as well as acomprehensive materials list will follow.

Linnea has been painting and photographing the landscape for over 30 years.  She carries a BFA from the University of Rhode Island and is an artist member of the Providence Art Club.  She has exhibited extensively throughout New England and is currently represented by the Charlestown Gallery.  You can see her work at  LinneaLeeming.com.
