Monotype Workshop

Term:
Winter/Spring 2010

A monotype is known as “the painterly print” since the image is painted on a plate. The plate is then run through a press. We will learn two techniques. In the first we will paint with watercolor paints on the plate. The second is a subtractive process . We will remove areas of ink from the plate to form the image. This class does not require any previous experience and is a good transition from painting to print making. Please see below for a list of items to bring to class.

An award- winning printmaker, Suzanne has a Master of Arts in Teaching from RIC and Certificate in Drawing and Painting Studies from the RISD continuing Education Program. She has been studying and practicing printmaking for over ten years.
