Tips on Great Glazing

This course will cover electric and gas fired glazing issues. Some topics covered will include: glazing very large and very small pieces, glazing pieces that can not be dipped, using wax resist to your best advantage, using stilts appropriately, creating patterns, applying glaze combinations, and using slips with glaze. The class will also experiment with testing a few new glaze recipes which may then be incorporated into the pottery shop glaze inventory. Bring 6 pieces of bisque fired pieces to class which are ready for glazing.
Jason is an award winning potter, and the pottery shop manager at SCAA. He has many years of experience with glazing and firing all types of ceramic work.
