Art From the Workshops

Works in a variety of media by SCAA students.

Awards given at the Opening Reception on Thursday, February 16,
7 to 9 pm.

Call For Entries

Eligibility:

All SCAA students are invited to submit up to 3 original works in any media. Works must have been finished in the last 3 years and not shown at SCAA previously.
Teachers of classes or workshops at SCAA in the previous year should submit one piece to display as an example of their work. Entry fee is not required for teachers.

Awards:

SCAA Education vouchers: 1st ($150), 2nd ($100), & 3rd ($75) in both 2–D and 3–D categories. 4 Honorable Mentions.

Entry Fee:

$12 per entry/members, $15 per entry/non-members. Fees are non refundable.

Framing:

All 2 -D work must be wired and ready for hanging. No one measurement is to exceed 48". Sculpture must be easily transportable.

Sales:

SCAA retains 30% on all sales for members, 35% for non-members.

Delivery:

All entries must be hand-delivered to SCAA, Thursday, February 9 through Sunday, February 12; between 1-5 pm each day.

Pick-up:

Entries not accepted may be picked up Wed - Sun, 1 - 5 pm. Accepted work can be picked up on Sunday, March 11, between 1-5 pm.

Juror:

Maureen Kelman received her MFA from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and has been a professor of art at CCRI since 1981. A recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, Kelman has exhibited her artwork nationally and internationally. She won the 2012 Fellowship Merit award in 3-dimensional art from RISCA.
