New members are always welcome. Currently over 250 members belong to the South County Art Association. Members receive discounts on classes and may participate in all membership activities. Each member receives invitations to all classes and exhibition openings, as well as opportunities to exhibit their work in the Member's Annual and Artist Member Invitational Exhibits.
Members are also able to participate in the annual Holiday Pottery and Affordable Art sale. Each August there is a Dinner Under the Trees meal in which Members are able to gather together and celebrate a year of art and accomplishment.
Members are encouraged to participate in a variety of volunteer positions which include, among others, helping with exhibitions, hospitality, fundraising, and gallery work.
To become a member, go to the Registration page and add the desired membership(s) to your cart. Then click on the Profile Form under the Sign Up menu to submit details about yourself.
Non-Members are welcome to take any of our classes.
Our regular membership for artists and appreciators provides discounts on classes and the knowledge that you contribute to, and are part of, a wonderful community.
Artist Members are distinguished from our regular members by having been accepted into a juried competition at the SCAA, which qualifies them for a Member Invitational exhibit.
Additional Household Member
Each member of a Member’s household who wishes to receive member benefits can purchase a membership at the reduced price of $30.
Sustainers are members are those who want to give a little bit more to help the organization. If everyone contributed at the Sustainer level, we could breathe a little easier and purchase necessities without agony!
Fellows help make up the difference between our operational needs and the income from our regular membership. In return we thank them with a 10% discount on purchases at exhibits and at our gift shop, and honor them with a free ticket to our annual member’s Dinner Under the Trees.
Patrons are those who want to help us affect the larger community with a individual gift that can make an significant difference in our accomplishments for the year. In return we honor them with a 15% discount on purchases from the gift shop, free tickets to Dinner Under the Trees and the Great Art Heist, our annual fundraiser where everyone goes home with a work of art!
Benefactors are those who want to see our organization thrive into the future. In return, we honor them with all the benefits of a Patron Member, as well as an exhibit prize in their name for criteria that they define. They can also rest easy with the knowledge that half (or more) of their donation will go directly into the endowment, where it will grow and help maintain our operations for the life of the organization.
