Earthworks Workshop: Tim See
Every year during our ceramics show "Earthworks" we invite a renowned ceramic artist to give an all-day demonstration workshop, giving intimate insight into their creative and operational processes. It is accompanied by an informal potluck lunch which is always delicious.
This year our artist is Tim See, a ceramic artist from Syracuse, New York who completed his BFA in Ceramics with Honors at Syracuse University in 2004. His work has been shown at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C, the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY, the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY, and, at Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland – as well as many other galleries. His work has been recognized with awards every year since 2003. He is also an avid teacher of ceramics both in his studio and doing traveling workshops and as a visiting artist, and has produced a plethora of educational videos on pottery on YouTube that have been viewed almost 2 million times. You can see a small sample of his work and videos on his website.
