Botanical Relief Prints
Beginners, learn to make your own prints without a printing press. Enjoy experimenting with techniques in printmaking! Students on all levels can explore unique relief printing processes and techniques! Relief printing is a family of printing methods where a printing block, plate or matrix that has had ink applied to its surface, is brought into contact with paper. Students will create their plates by carving and collaging unique textures to their print plate before printing. Students will also use plants to ink and use as stamps onto various Japanese rice papers. Intermediate and advanced students work more independently. Collaboration is encouraged! All skill levels welcome.
SCAA will provide all the supplies.
