46th Annual Pottery & Art Sale
All members of the SCAA are encouraged to sell their work in this sale, which provides vital financial support both to SCAA and our members, and strengthens our visibility in the community. Your dues must be current to participate.
To register you may sign up at www.southcountyart.com, stop by, or call the SCAA no later than November 13 at 783-2195; we will record your name and your 3-letter identification code. There is a $50 registration fee due at registration, $25 of which will be refunded if two 3-hour floor shifts are worked. We need volunteers for both the sale and also for setup and takedown (which involve heavy lifting). You may sign up for your shifts online at calendly.com or call and we can help you over the phone. Please consider volunteering as we could not do the sale without you.
Work may be dropped off November 13 & 16-19 from 1-5 pm. All work must be unpacked at drop-off. Any work dropped off after the galleries are initially arranged should be left in the hallway and will be displayed as space becomes available. Inventory sheets are not necessary, although artists may make them for their own use.
All work must be individually marked with a price and your artist's identification letters. Please use only removable labels when marking your work. We must be able to remove them easily to tally your sales. If a label falls off during the show, the piece will be removed from the floor until re-labeled by the artist. SCAA commission for all work in this sale is 30% of the selling price.
Work will be handled with all possible care. However, SCAA is not responsible for damage or theft occurring during set up or sale.
All original artwork is eligible, including paintings, drawings, pottery, photography, sculpture, woven textiles (no knitted or crocheted items), collage, jewelry and handmade cards.
All work must be removed from the gallery by the artist or a designated person on Sunday, December 18 from 1-5 pm. If there is no one present and responsible for removing items from the gallery and consolidating them into the hallway, artists will be assessed a $10 handling fee (deducted from their commission check). Items in the hallway must be packed and labeled.
