Theme
RESILIENCE

Eligibility
All artists are invited to submit up to 3 original works in any media 2D or 3D. Works must not have shown previously in a SCAA juried exhibit. 

Narrative
Along with your artwork, you’ll submit a short narrative (50 words or less) explaining your
intrepretation of the theme. The narrative will be exhibited next to your artwork on a label.

Opening
​Awards will be presented at the opening reception on Thursday, October 19, 7-9 PM

Awards
1st Place ($200), 2nd Place ($125), 3rd Place ($75) cash awards. 3 Honorable Mentions.

Entry Fee
Members: $20 for single entry, $15 each for multiple entries
Non-Members: $25 for single entry, $20 each for multiple entries.
Student / Military Veteran: $12 per entry (with valid ID).
Entry Fees are non-refundable.

Framing
All work must be wired and ready for hanging.  No one measurement is to exceed 48”.
Sculptural work must be easily transportable.

Sales
SCAA retains 30% on all sales for members, 35% for non-members. Art can be Not for Sale.

Delivery
All entries must be hand-delivered to SCAA, October 11-15, from 1-5 pm each day.

Pick-up
Entries not accepted may be picked up Wed - Sun, 1 - 5 pm, starting October 18
Accepted work should be picked up on Sunday, November 12, from 1 - 5 pm..

Juror - Ben Anderson

Ben Anderson is associate professor of three-dimensional art and sculpture,
and department chair at the University of Rhode Island. Previously he taught at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence; Brown University in Providence; Bryant University in Smithfield, RI; and the University of California at San Diego. He is also the recipient of the 2005 Directors Choice Award from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the 2002 Rhode Island State Council for the Arts Individual Artist Grant.
