Photography as Metaphor | Zoom | March 8
Like words in poetry can have many meanings; photography’s metaphor is visual, an important emotional tool with which to build a strong, moving photograph.
Through subject selection, composition and post processing, we will study and make images that are more subjective and evoke feelings that are more image based rather than verbal. Images by photographers who have been influential in the themes presented will be shared in slide form.
There will be three online presentations with assignments and critique, practicing the figurative and emotional art of seeing with emotion. A fourth, final class will be dedicated to the critique of the third assignment. This class will be online through the Zoom platform and is limited to 8 students.
