Air Purification for Spring Gallery Classes
Air purification is one part of a larger Covid mitigation plan which includes the safe practices of mask wearing, hand washing, limited class size and social distancing. The SCAA has purchased two Blue Pure 211+ air purifiers for our gallery classroom space. Each purifier has a clean air delivery rate of 350 cubic feet/minute meaning it will clean the air in a 540 sq. ft. room 5 times an hour. Mitigation reduces risk but does not eliminate risk.

Blue Poppy Painting | Zoom | January 9
In this project-based class, you will watch step-by-step instructional videos and then work independently on your weekly assignments. Then you'll meet up weekly together on Zoom to share your work, get teacher feedback, ask questions and learn from other students in a friendly, supportive way.
The Botanical Notebook (We offer this class periodically. If you're interested, send us an email and we'll let you know the next time it's starting). This online class is a comprehensive course featuring 3 hours of video containing instructional lessons and time-lapsed demonstrations plus 3 color-mixing tutorials and reference photos for everything ... all with personal written feedback sessions with the instructor.

Chris studied illustration at Rhode Island School of Design. Since then she has been the lead designer and maker creating original, handmade products for the gift and personal accessories market for her company Red Chair Studio for over 20 years. Currently she teaches at SCAA and RISD | CE Westerly.

Fresh Air Pottery & Art Sale
Saturdays, September 5 & October 10

We're scheduling two sales this fall that will be held outside in our backyard (rain or shine) following all COVID guidelines. These sales, in lieu of our annual holiday sale, will give our members a chance to sell their art and provide a safer environment for our shoppers. Similar to our holiday sale, we'll have a selection of pottery, painting, and jewelry. Here are some photos from our recent pottery sale held outside under tents.
