I’m very blessed to be on an art journey every day of my life. As an oil and acrylic painter representing subjects of nature, I am in awe of the beauty around us which often is overlooked. As a secondary educator for over 26 years, I have had the pleasure of inspiring students each  day about the arts. I also regularly teach adult workshops and classes. To me, colors and values  playing off each other emulate a beautiful song. I needn’t go too far to find inspiration-- first  early light, a sunset, beauty of seasons. I’m inspired by hues of Green, the color of life and  Purple, the royal color from nature. My media of choice, allows me to emulate my favorite art  styles of the 19th century- Impressionism and Barbizon. I’m happiest painting colorful perennials, old stone walls, windblown trees, farm fields, and salt water scenes. Historical scenes motivate me to paint into the future. My journey is inspired by so many amazing artists I  meet every day.
