Thanks to the support of our members, artists, donors, volunteers, and community, Fiscal Year 2024/25 was a year of growth, creativity, and meaningful connection.

9 juried & open exhibitions were held in the Helme House Gallery. We received a record number of 1694 entries, and exhibited 988 works. 44 artworks sold to collectors. We awarded $3,800 in cash prizes. In addition, two member invitational shows spotlighted 14 artist members.

We offered 108 classes to over 634 students from beginners to experienced artists. 122 were new students. We introduced 4 new teachers. Open studios for Printmaking grew in popularity.

63 pottery studio members and over 200 students used our studio this past year. We had 323 kiln firings, 4 woodfire & raku.
9 tons of clay! was used this year to create functional & decorative. -
We awarded $550 in schilarsips, which removed financial barriers, allowing everyone to participate in our classes and/or receive a discount on their membership.

Our special events were a huge success! 95 artists participated in our 53rd holiday sale generating $72,246k in sales with $50,873 of total revenue for the artists and over 2000 visitors.
Our Art Heist Fundraiser, raised $15,525 with 158 art donations and 200 attendees.
Dinner Under the Trees was enjoyed by 135 guests.

We have 550 Members and are growing! Six dedicated staff and ten experienced board members. Over 5000 social media followers, nearly 4000 email subscribers and 33K unique website visitors

Presentations by arts professionals covered topics from working with specialty papers to art journaling. Free monthly exhibit gallery tours led by volunteer and arts educator Wendy Rappaport helped attendees learn more about the art.

Our year-round gift shop supports art sales for approximately 45 artists as part of their member benefits and our festival & exhibition supplies helped members sell $3k at the Judith Point Farmers Market

The Helme House studios offer nine affordable art studios to artists in the community.

Preserving our historic buildings is essential to our success. This year we completed several ADA-Compliant Renovations and building improvements: an ADA-compliant restroom, ramps at two entrances, wider doorways, lever-style hardware, four new sinks, a specialized pottery wheel & modified workspaces. Plus a new HVAC system, new roof and siding for the studio building.

We had over 100 volunteers who gave their time to undertake often tedious tasks such as cleaning, labeling our mailings, loading/unloading kilns, working our sales, and performing administrative tasks. We couldn't have had such a successful year without them.

I have been involved with SCAA for nearly 20 years. SCAA has lots of talented artists. I’m proud to be a member of this association. The staff is welcoming and supportive of their artist members. Ample opportunities for members to exhibit their work, along with creative fundraisers bring members and community together sweetening the experience of membership.
