our team

We bring different perspectives and diverse skill sets to the table, but we are united by a shared love of purposeful work. As artists ourselves, we understand the challenges artists face and the value of a supportive community.

We are committed to making SCAA your creative community!

get to know us

Our staff are part of the same creative community we serve. So we thought it would be fun to ask them the same questions we ask our Maker Monday artists.

board of trustees

This year, the Board of Directors launched an exciting strategic planning process to guide SCAA toward our 100-year anniversary in 2027 and beyond.

Our goal is to build a strong foundation and an inspiring vision for the future—one that honors our legacy while embracing new possibilities. As we look ahead, we remain focused on preserving our strengths, ensuring financial stability, and deepening our connection to the community we serve.

Volunteers in the Hekme house gallery

Volunteers play an essential role in everything we do—from exhibitions and special events to outreach, hospitality, and the day-to-day life of the organization.

—Jen Ferry, Executive Director

There is the sense of a creatively driven atmosphere with a strong bond of community at SCAA.  The membership is friendly, engaging, and inclusive. I enjoy viewing their gallery exhibits, volunteering and teaching printmaking when the opportunity arises. Always a joyful place to be.
