Where are you from, and what do you make?
I am from Providence, RI. I make photographic images.
How long have you been seriously pursuing art?
About 64 years.
What inspires you to create?
Seeing an object or scene that gives me joy.
Which artist outside of your chosen medium has had the most impact on your art? What do they do and in what way do they influence you?
Any jazz musician. They take a theme and create something new and beautiful. In a similar process, I tend to take abstracts and graphics that border on abstracts.
Is there a work of art that has changed your life or how you view the world in some way?
While it didn't change my life, Ansel Adams' "Moonrise, Hernandez" made me realize everyday scenes can have tremendous impact
As a member of SCAA, what do you like most about us?
Great people to work with, great people to exhibit with, and a well lit gallery.
