100 years of art & community

a once-in-a-century opportunity

As South County Art Association approaches its 100th anniversary in 2027, we are looking beyond today toward the next century of creativity, education, and community impact.

John Russel House

A generous bequest of the neighboring John Russell House presents a rare and transformative opportunity to thoughtfully expand our campus—preserving a historic property while creating new space for artistic practice, exhibitions, and community engagement. This expansion will allow SCAA to deepen its mission, increase access to the arts, and ensure long-term sustainability for generations to come.

Leadership support at this pivotal moment will help shape the future of SCAA. Centennial contributions will fund strategic planning, preservation, and responsible development—laying the groundwork for a stronger, more resilient organization as we enter our second century.

This is a moment to create a lasting legacy—one that honors the artists, educators, and supporters who have shaped SCAA over the past 100 years, and those who will carry it forward.

leave a lasting legacy

We invite you to consider a leadership-level gift in support of SCAA’s centennial vision and campus expansion.

As we plan for SCAA’s second century, naming opportunities allow donors to support campus expansion, historic preservation, and arts education while creating a lasting impact. Opportunities are available for studios, galleries, programs, and community spaces within the John Russell House and across our campus.

Contributions may be made as a one-time gift, multi-year pledge, or planned gift. To discuss leadership giving in more details please contact us directly.

centennial contributions

Centenial contribitions will fund strategic planning, preservation, and responsible development—laying the groundwork for a stronger, more resilient organization as we enter our second century.

Centenial contributions will be recognized in stone–literally! The initial plans for campus expansion is to connect the John Russel House will the Helme House via a connector walkway.

While we are still in the very early stages of design and planning, two possibilities for donor recognition are a donor walkway and a donnor wall
