Do you love SCAA and its mission? Do you have some time to give in service to a growing, thriving nonprofit group? As a nonprofit member organization, SCAA relies on volunteers from within the membership to serve on our Board of Directors. It is the core governing structure of the Association.
Due to term limits and personal reasons over the last two years, we find ourselves with a lower number of current Board members than is best for the organization. We now have several openings for new Board candidates. Could that be you? Knowledge of nonprofit governance is preferred but is not required. We would love to have some new Board members with financial and/or legal expertise. Board members with knowledge of historic preservation and construction would also be helpful as we manage buildings that are hundreds of years old. Board members with a wide variety of more general professional knowledge and expertise have been the backbone of the organization for decades. So, if you have the willingness to serve, you are needed and welcome to join. Artists and art-lovers are equally appreciated. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about SCAA’s mission and who can commit to attending our monthly meetings and being involved in some capacity at our events and on our committees. If this interests you, please contact Jen Ferry, Executive Director for more information. We look forward to speaking with you! |
