All artists are invited to submit up to 5 original works in clay. Works must have been finished in the last 2 years and NOT shown at SCAA previously.
Awards given at the Opening Reception on TBD, 7 - 9 pm.
Awards 1st ($200), 2nd ($125), & 3rd ($75) place cash awards. 3 Honorable Mentions, Peoples Choice Award (3 free entries into any SCAA Juried show).
Members: $16 for single entry, $14 each for multiple entries (5 for $56)
Non-Members: $20 for single entry, $18 each for multiple entries.
Student / Military Veteran: $12 per entry (with valid ID).
Entry Fees are non-refundable.
SCAA assumes no liability for damage or loss. Any work not picked up after 60 days of the show’s end will become property of the SCAA
SCAA retains 30% on all sales for members, 35% for non-members.
All entries must be hand-delivered to SCAA on TBD
Entries not accepted may be picked up Wed - Sun, 1 - 5 pm TBD
Accepted work should be picked up on Sunday TBD
Ray Bub has been working with clay since 1967. Beginning in 1970 Bub worked as apprentice/assistant to notable potters Paul Soldner, Kit Yin Tieng, Colin and Leslie Pearson, and Byron Temple. In 1978, with wife and business partner Susan Nykiel, Bub started Oak Bluffs Cottage Pottery in Pownal, VT. Bub has taught pottery at Bryn Mawr College, Greenwich House Pottery School, Mass College of Liberal Arts, Williams College and at his own studio in Pownal, VT. Bub has written multiple articles for Ceramics Monthy Magazine and has exhibited nationally and internationally. www.raybub.com
TBD 10 AM: Ray Bub will comment on the entries and select works for the exhibition. Everyone is welcome to attend.
TBD 4 PM: Ray Bub will present a slide presentation and speak about his work and experiences as a professional potter. Everyone is welcome to attend.
TBD 9 AM – 4 PM: Ray Bub will give a demonstration workshop ($75 members, $95 non-members) space is limited.
