Welcome!
​Currently over 450 members belong to the South County Art Association. Members receive discounts on classes and may participate in all membership activities. Each member receives invitations to all classes and exhibition openings, as well as opportunities to exhibit their work in the Members Annual and Artist Member Invitational Exhibits. Members are also able to participate in the Annual Holiday Sale held the day after Thanksgiving through mid December.  Each July there is an Evening Under the Trees in which members are able to gather together and celebrate a year of art and accomplishment. Members are encouraged to participate in a variety of volunteer positions which include, among others, helping with exhibitions, hospitality, fundraising, and gallery work.

$68 annual Membership

Our membership for artists and appreciators provides member benefits and the knowledge that you contribute to a wonderful community devoted to the arts. 

​Artist Members are distinguished from our regular members by having been accepted into a juried competition at SCAA, which qualifies them for a Member Invitational Exhibit (read about the qualifications here). Every selected artist for a juried exhibit will be automatically added as an Artist Member.

With our Family Membership, you can add on an additional household member for $30 who will also have access to all our member benefits. 

$30 Student/Military

Current students, active military and veterans receive a discounted membership.

Higher level memberships help make up the difference between our operational needs and the income from our regular membership. Your contribution is above and beyond our general membership and allows us to offer more programs and higher quality exhibits.

Pottery Studio Membership
At this time, all pottery studio memberships are full. Please email us or call 783-2195 to be put on the waitlist. Note: there is a pre-requisitite of taking at least one SCAA 8-week pottery class before we can put you on the waitlist in order for you to get to know our studio.

• Buy clay at $50/bag includes firing and glazes. $58/bag for porcelain and $20/bag for reclaim. No outside clay can be brought in. 
• 20 hours a week access to the studio.
• Cubby provided that's approximately 16" x 16" x 16".
• Assortment of 24+ glazes, slips and different clays.
• Electric and gas are included plus we offer wood and raku firings for extra.

Pottery Associate Membership

​Pottery Associate Membership
Pottery Associates are potters that have a studio available to them outside of SCAA. Annual $120 membership includes:

• Buy clay at cost - $25/bag, $31 for porcelain. 100 lb. max/month.
• Purchase a Gas Fire Load - $200/day
• Purchase glazes to use at home at the rate of $25/hour plus materials
• Request a special Raku Firing from the SCAA Pottery Studio Manager
