Since our beginning in 1929, community has been at the heart of what we do and we would be nothing without you!
Together we have created an arts community to be proud of. With your help we have sustained a comprehensive and robust arts program through unprecedented times, and we continue to grow! Our schedule of 10 juried & open exhibitions with awards, for member and non-member artists alike, has seen a record number of entries this year! Our annual special events provide opportunities to celebrate art, foster friendships and comraderie, creating a nurturing and thriving community. This year, for example, a record 145 works were donated and stolen (!) at our popular Art Heist, now in its 18th year. The whole event was great. I didn’t realize it is such a vibrant and engaging community. And you guys did a wonderful job. Honestly, absolutely amazing. —Iwona Lapczyk, Artist We’re excited for our 52nd Annual Holiday Sale and expect increased sales for over 90 members offering handcrafted gifts for an anticipated 2000 visitors! |
Our education program includes new classes and instructors each season, providing opportunities for beginners to experienced artists to try something for the first-time. Our Scholarships remove barriers to the arts allowing everyone to participate. Artist Talks round out our curriculum and support professional development. In a quickly changing world our talks on Social Media strategy and AI were well received.
An evening very well spent! I know I walked away tonight having learned several things that I had not been aware of or understood properly. I am sure other folks did too! —Christopher Matthews, Artist While preserving our historic buildings that are the artistic soul of SCAA, together we are creating a space that is accessible to people of all abilities. With your support we have continued progress on our ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Studio Annex Project, which we plan to complete in 2024. I love SCAA so much. You believed in me before I even believed in myself. --Renee Syed, Artist For us as a non-profit, every dollar counts. With your support of a one-time donation or a monthly contribution, SCAA can continue to thrive through the coming year. Please help assure there will always be a creative community at SCAA where everyone can learn, share, and support one another through art. .Thank you! |
“Thanks for giving all of us an opportunity to show our work while all the other galleries were closed during Covid-19. The work you and all the others at SCAA do for the artists is most inspiring.”
Diane Brown, Artist & Teacher |
“The staff at SCAA are the kindest and most supportive of any arts association in the state. It makes me happy just to walk through the door.” Eric Hovermale, Artist
