Piercing decoration refers to holes cut into clay as a decoration. Once the clay is leather-hard it can be pierced. In this two day workshop, Paula will demonstrate the techniques of piercing in combination with carving which is drawn directly from her body of work. Students are to bring completely trimmed, leather-hard greenware for creating surface patterns of their own. The students should bring at least three pieces, one of which is a small bowl, and another which is a cylinder
