The Hand Built Pitcher | Zoom | March 2
In this class students will make a pitcher employing the “roll and wrap” technique. There are many ways to do anything, this particular method is accessible, easy and a great launching pad
wrapping cylinder with newspaper, making a paper template. You will learn how to make several types of handles from pulled to hand built, twisted, or braided. You will need to have a newspaper and a cylindrical form, minimum 6" up to 10" in height and no more than 4" wide. We will provide the rest through an art kit.
You will be able to review the Zoom video afterwards for reference. Once you create a pitcher, it will be fired and glazed for you. You will be able to pick up your finished pitcher after the glaze firing.
Pick up your art kit at SCAA anytime from February 25-28. We'll email further instructions after you register.
