Acrylic Painting with Mediums | October 23
Bring your art to life with this fun Acrylic Painting class. Enhance your landscapes and waterscapes with a variety of mediums. Mediums add that special touch and bring out the best techniques for your works of art. Modify acrylic paints by using them under, over, and mixed into colors. Convey an original feeling as you create color foundations using fluid mat and gloss mediums, gel mediums, crackle pastes, fiber pastes, and color wash techniques. Develop your skills for textured effects while learning how to use a variety of brushes and palette knives for multiple applications. Practice with dramatic lights and shadows to simulate intervals and seasons. We’ll compare successful painting textures and colors to early 20th Century styles as we work along. Bring new life to your art as you progress and incorporate a special style.
Choose photographs of your choice for inspiration. Please bring canvas/painting surfaces in your preference and size. A $30 supply fee to the instructor covers all paints, texture mediums, practice papers, and equipment used for the full 5 weeks, or see the materials list on Ann's website. All experience levels are welcome.
