Still Life of Foods and Treats | February 22
Create with your favorite choice of media (pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and others) in this class with a focus on Still life of Foods and Treats. Ethnic foods, drinks, and treats have a colorful, and tasteful history in the world of art. They represent ways to gather family and friends as they comfort and nourish the body and soul. From basic to detailed, food art communicates a story from the artist to the viewer. We will follow a step-by-step approach to still life creations. Learn basic important techniques of values, reflections, highlights, shadows, perspectives, and color theory. Gain experience working from group or personal displays with a variety of items such as reflective glassware, tableware, baked goods, and treats, packaged and open items, desserts, and cellophane wrapped candies to name a few. Open to all skill levels. Contact Ann at [email protected] for any questions about art materials.
